Insurances/Hours of Operation

Blood draws are done in the morning between 4am and 12 noon. We are not a STAT service however if we are in the area we will attempt to see the patient but is not guaranteed.  We do not work weekends or holidays. If you are NOT homebound we do charge a $35 convenience fee. 

 

If you have the order in home you can call our office to schedule or have your doctor fax the order to us.

History of I.P.S

Janie Newsome R.N, is the matriarch and founder of I.P.S. She was a home health nurse in 1995, when Medicare made the determination that it didn't take the services of an R.N to draw labs from home bound patients. She determined at that time that these patients needed to be helped, I.P.S was born. From our humble beginnings in the Daytona Beach area, I.P.S has expanded all over central and north eastern Florida. We are now on our 3rd generation, who are now working to continue and expand her vision to be the premiere phlebotomy service in Florida.

How do i get my order to you ?

You can have your doctor fax the order

to our office or if you have the order in  home you can call our office to schedule with us over the phone.

How do i know when your coming ?

​

We call all our patients the night before the scheduled draw, between 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Our phlebotomists must speak with the patient or their representative to confirm appointment time. If there is no answer we will leave a message with the phone number for a return call. If we receive no response we will attempt to reschedule the patient for 3 days. If no contact is made with patient we will call the doctor to cancel.

Who uses our services ?

We have been offering services for over 25 years to assisted living facilities, home health agencies, home bound patients and specialty services. Such as clinical research studies and health fairs. We can see any patient with a lab order for a $35 convenience fee. Free services are for truly home bound patients.
